The aim of the high-level protective mask project, in which our company started R&D studies, was to produce a high-level protective mask that eliminates the risk of infection of healthcare personnel who have a high risk of infection and have contact with infected patients. In the new product we have developed, 5-layer nonwoven fabric is used. The fabric used in the second layer is a type with high level of liquid retention. The reason is that microorganisms cannot move inside in any way by holding here because of the specially coated solution. This essential oil blend is crosslinked with a polymeric structure. In this biocompatible polymer structure, first a hydrogel obtained from seaweed and then a different hydrogel obtained from sea shells was used. These structures have been developed by applying the N-Capsule (Nano Capsule) technique and have antimicrobial properties. The feature of the solution that is specially coated on the nonwoven fabric in the second layer of our product; It is a mixture of completely natural vegetable essential oils, biocompatible polymer structures and biocompatible hydrogels. The benefits and properties of the vegetable essential oils used in the solution have been proven in academic studies on this subject. The most important of these features are that the ingredients have antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties.
