CNSL is one of the best sources to produce biorenewable chemicals, materials and energy.
It is used as antioxidants in the production of bio-diesel. A byproduct of cashew apple and cashew nut production, it is separated and extracted into oils, which could be refined further into cardanol. Additionally, CNSL has been used for years in the manufacturing of friction materials, in binding constituents and as friction enhancers. Other uses include paints, resins, and more.
