Polished Tungsten Copper Alloy Copper Tungsten Bricks 5mm to 100mm Thickness Tungsten opper alloy brick is also called tungsten copper brick (tungsten-copper, Cu-W, or W-Cu), which is a pseudo alloy of copper and tungsten. As copper and tungsten are not mutually soluble, the tungsten copper alloy brick material is composed of distinct particles of one metal dispersed in a matrix of the other one. The microstructure of tungsten copper brick is therefore rather a metal matrix composite than a true alloy. Tungsten copper alloys are used where the combination of high heat resistance, high electrical and/or thermal conductivity, and low thermal expansion are needed. Some of the applications are in electric resistance welding, as electrical contacts, and as heat sinks. As contact material the alloy is resistant to erosion by electric arc. WCu alloys are also used in electrodes for electrical discharge machining and electrochemical machining. Tungsten copper brick combines the properties of both metals, resulting in a material that is heat-resistant, ablation-resistant, highly thermally and electrically conductive, and easy to machine. Advantages of Copper Tungsten Bricks: 1. Better heat resistant; 2. Low thermal expansion 3. High intensity 4. High density; 5. Excellent thermal and electrical conductivity; 6. Easy to be machined. 7. Better ablate-resistant; 8. High wear resistance
