Carom seeds are oval shaped, olive green to brown coloured, dried fruits of the herb plant in the in the Umbelliferae family.It is native to India, although it is harvested in Iran, Egypt and Afghanistan also.It has bitter and pungent taste, and a strong flavor similar to oregano and anise.
