Petcryl is the brand name of PGA sutures manufactured by Dolphin Sutures. Petcryl is made from 100% Glycolide popularly known as PGA Sutures or polyglycolic acid sutures. Dolphin Sutures is the first Indian brand to launch Polyglycolic Acid Sutures in India in the year 1997.
PGA suture is an ideal and time tested synthetic absorbable suture, widely used by surgeons all over the world. PGA sutures' superior features over catgut are predictable absorption, outstanding tensile strength, in-vivo inertness and excellent handling properties.
PGA sutures exhibit superior tensile strength as compared to polyglactin sutures and is recommended to be used in orthopaedic and hysterectomy surgeries instead of polyglactin.
Petcryl sutures are available in undyed and violet colour.
Petcryl 910 is the brand name of Polyglactin 910 sutures made by Dolphin Sutures. Dolphin Sutures is the first Indian brand to introduce Polyglactin sutures in India. Polyglactin suture is a braided and coated synthetic absorbable suture and is a co-polymer of 90% Glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Polyglactin 910 sutures retain tensile strength of about 70% of initial strength at 14 days of implantation. Polyglactin 910 sutures are indicated for soft tissue approximation and ligation. Polyglactin sutures have mild tissue reaction during the absorption process. Polyglactin 910 sutures manufactured by Dolphin Sutures is similar in composition to Vicryl sutures and has a similar absorption profile. Polyglactin suture is a much superior alternative to catgut sutures since its absorption is more predictable, tensile strength is better and it exhibits little or no tissue reaction. Polyglactin sutures also exhibit better knotting properties compared to PGA sutures. Petcryl 910 sutures are available in undyed and violet colour from U.S.P. size 6-0 to size 2.

Raw silk is produced by a silkworm larva's cocoon. These natural waxes and gums are removed prior to the braiding process, allowing for a tighter, more compact braid. Our silk suture is dyed black for easier visibility in tissue. Our silk suture is non-absorbable and multifilament in nature. Although our classifies its silk suture as a non-absorbable suture, it loses most of its tensile strength in one year, and is completely absorbed in 2 years. Silk behaves like a very slow absorbing suture. Our coats its silk in silicon to limit absorption, increase ductility, and minimize tissue reactivity. 12pcs/box.50boxes/ctn. Ctn size:34cmx26x28cm. -
