Air inflatable rubber dam: it will not be frozen in the cold region. According to the slope, rubber dam is divided into pillow rubber dam and inclined rubber dam: Fin rubber dam: The cross-section of fin rubber dam looks like a book with smooth appearance. The fin erects when inflated to form a rising angle to raise the water head during a certain overflow, and eliminate vacuum underneath the dam with certain depth of flow water, thus reducing the vibration and wearing out of the rubber bladder.
Water inflatable rubber dam is a kind of water-inflated stable tear-shaped rubber dam. Rubber dam consists of civil works, dam bag, anchor, filling drainage facilities and control system. It is made of strength canvas as reinforced framework and rubber layer which ensure tightness of the rubber layers. Compared with air inflatable rubber dam, water inflatable rubber dam is more expensive and slower to fill but more stable to provide optimal control over upstream water levels. It is fixed to concrete to create a permanent dam or floodgate. Water can spill over the top automatically without additional support or adjustment. When the flood is coming, rubber weir can completely collapse, does not have water resistance. Compared with conventional sluice dam, investment of water inflatable rubber dam reduced by 30-70%, wood saved by over 60%, steel saved by 30-50%, concrete saved by 50%.
Bookend rubber dam, also named as spine type rubber dam, has obvious fins on the dam body to form a rising angle when the dam is inflated. It is made of high strength canvas as the reinforced framework and synthetic rubber fixed to a reinforced concrete foundation using clamping plates and anchor bolts. In dry seasons, the rubber dam is inflated by air or water to retain water for industrial, agricultural and living water demands; in rainy seasons, the air or water in the sealed bag can be deflated out to release floodwater from river course. Bookend rubber dam heightens overflow's water head and eliminates vacuum underneath the dam to reduce the vibration and abrasion.
