ED-900 Polyether Amine Chenhua ED-900 Polyether amine is an aliphatic polyether diamine derived from a propylene oxide-capped polyethylene glycol. It is water soluble, with an approximate molecular weight of 900 and a melting point around room temperature. Polyether amines of this type are useful in a variety of polymers because of the hydrophilicity and flexibility imparted by the polyethylene glycol chain. In polyamides, for example, antistatic properties and moisture vapor transmission can be enhanced by incorporation of PEG-based polyether amines. CHENHUA D-2000 Polyether Amine Structure: NH2CH (CH3)CH2 [OCH2CH(CH3)]X NH2 X=33.1 Description: Chenhua D-2000 polyetheramine is a member of a family of polyamines having repeat oxypropylene units in the backbone. It is a difunctional primary amine with an average molecular weight of about 2000. Its amine groups are located on secondary carbon atoms at the ends of an aliphatic polyether chain. It is light in color and low in viscosity. Its vapor pressure is extremely low. Chenhua D-2000 polyetheramine is completely miscible in a wide variety of solvents. It is, however, only slightly soluble in water. An intriguing application for Chenhua D-2000 polyoxypropylenediamine is in epoxy systems for metal priming via cathodic electrodeposition.
