Wedge riveted camail
Camail or aventail often extends to cover the necks and upper shoulders.Each flat ring is closed with a wedge rivet, by hand. This is the classic 4 in 1 pattern and the ring size is 9 mm id. This aventail is long, on the shoulders and generously sized. It is mild steel, with a oil finish. Note that the expansion of the rings change at the neck, this prevents the bunching of too much mail. Aventail is a curtain of chain mail that protects the neck by hanging over the shoulders.
