Coconut Ekel is midrib of coconut leaves which is removed and dried to make natural brooms. The strength and flexibility of the midrib is what helps it become an efficient and effective broom. Palm ekel on the other hand is similar but lighter in weight than the coconut ekel but it serves the same purpose as efficiently as the coconut ekel when made into a broom.
