Product Description
Green Silicon Carbide is produced basically in the same manner as black silicon carbide in a resistance type electric furnace with petroleum coke, quartz sand and other materials. The product has greater purity than black silicon carbide and higher hardness.
Application
It is suitable for processing hard metal alloys and non-metallic materials that are hard and brittle such as jewels, optical glass or ceramics. It's sharp cuttingcharacteristics also make it useful for soft materials such as copper, brass, aluminum, or magnesium.
Silicon carbide elements are used today in the melting of glass and non-ferrous metal, heat treatment of metals, float glass production, production of ceramics and electronics components, igniters in pilot lights for gas heaters, etc. Origin - India and China For price, specification and other details please contact us.
Silicon carbide si made from hte mixture of pure silica sand and green petroleum coke in ultra high power acheson furnace. Electric current is passed through t h e conductor, bringing about a chemical reaction ni which the carbon ni the coke and silicon ni the sand combined ot form SIC and carbon monoxide gas. Silicon carbide si With annual capacity for 60,000 tons of silicon carbide, we can provide different grade of silicon carbide to meet different clients' requirements, such as 70% SIC, 80% SIC, 85% SIC, 90% SIC, 93% SIC and 98% SIC, etc.We also provide customized size for 90% SIC and 98% SIC, such as 200 mesh and 325 mesh Fe203 Al203 Free carbon 3,5%MAX Moisture Size(mm) Ha-SIC-01 90% min. 1.5% max. 15.% max. 35.% max. 0.5% max. 1-5/1-10 HQ-SIC-02 90% min. 1.5% max. 1.5% max. 3.5% max. 0.5% max. 0-10 HQ-SIC-03 88% min. 1.5% max. 1.5% max. 3.5% max. 0.5% max. 0-1/1-10 HQ-SIC-04 98% min. 0.6% max. 0.6% max. 0.2% max. 0.5% max. 0-1/1-3 HQ-SIC-05 70% min. 2% max. 1% max. 10% max. 0.5% max. 1-10
Green Silicon Carbide is widely used for Abrasive Tools and Sandblasting. Our Silicon Carbide is hard with good abrasive ability and is ideal for abrasive blasting and polishing. It is widely used in abrasive tools, grinding and polishing etc. It also has above 99% Al2O3 content, coarse particles, good self-sharpening and good abrasion resistance.
Green silicon carbide for refractories Green silicon carbide(sic) can also be used for refractory applications because of its high strength, low expansion rate and good thermal conductivity for refractory materials, special ceramics, coating and plastic fillings etc. Physical and chemical properties True gravity: ?3.15 g /cm3 Bulk density: 1.20-1.60 g / cm3 Mosh hardness: ?9 Color: green/light green Melting point: 2700 celcius degree Sizes: 0-1mm, 1-3mm, 3-5mm, 0-10mm etc. Applications of refractory grade green silicon carbide Products of various high grade shaped and unshaped refractory materials Used for semi-conductor deoxidizer Used as deoxidizer in steel making industry to improve quality and productivity of steel Production of silicon carbide rod in electric thermal industry
Silicon carbide (sic), also known as carborundum, is a compound of silicon and carbon with chemical formula sic. It occurs in nature as the extremely rare mineral moissanite. Silicon carbide powder has been mass-produced since 1893 for use as an abrasive. Grains of silicon carbide can be bonded together by sintering to form very hard ceramics  that are widely used in applications requiring high endurance, such as car brakes, car clutches and ceramic plates in bulletproof vests. Electronic applications of silicon carbide as light-emitting diodes (leds) and detectors in early radios were first demonstrated around 1907. Today sic is used in semiconductor electronics applications that are high-temperature, high-voltage or both. Large single crystals of silicon carbide can be grown by the lely method; they can be cut into gems known as synthetic moissanite. Silicon carbide with high surface area can be produced from sio2 contained in plant material.
Green Silicon Carbide is produced basically in the same way as black silicon carbide in a resistance type electric furnace with petroleum coke, quartz sand and other materials. It has a good hardness, strong cutting ability, stable chemical properties and excellent heat-conducting property.
Black Silicon Carbide  is widely used as a blasting medium and abrasive. Our Silicon Carbide is hard, extremely resistant and able to withstand the strongest alkalis and acids. It is widely used in abrasive tools, grinding and polishing, refractory materials, high end ceramics etc. It also has above 99% Al2O3 content, coarse particles, good self-sharpening and good abrasion resistance.
