Description Polyglycolic Acid (PGA) is a sterile absorbable synthetic, multifilament suture composed of glycolic acid. The sutures are braided and coated with a blend of polycaprolate, copolymer of caprolactone and glycolide and Calcium Stearate. The colour of PGA absorbable Suture is violet or undyed. The size is USP 8/0 to USP 4. Characteristics Absorbable suture is widely used in surgery, because it can be absorbed, so there is no need to remove the suture and avoid secondary pain. PAG absorbable suture has the following obvious characteristics: 1. High initial tensile strength 2. Excellent knotting ability 3. Outstanding holding power through the critical would periode 4.
