An air receiver is an imperative component of every compressed air system. An air receiver tank acts as a buffer and a storage facility between the compressor itself and the process consumption. Air receivers equalize the pressure variation from start/stop and modulate the sequence of the compressor, store air volume equalizing the variation in consumption and demand from the system and, finally, collect condensate and water in the air after the compressor.
Air receiver tanks consist of a primary receiver located near the compressor and a secondary receiver located close to points of larger air consumptions.
