The original work was spoken by sukadeva goswami. Srila prabhupada called it the encyclopedia of spiritual life, sri caitanya mahaprabhu called it the amala (spotless) purana. The srimad bhagavatam (bhagavata purana) is the essential and complete guide to krishna consciousness. It is a journey of 18, 000 verses from the lord's lotus feet in the first canto to his smiling face in the tenth, up to the crown on his head in the twelfth canto.
