This picture frame is entirely made by hand and is exquisitely handcrafted by skilled artisans native to India. Aborned with intricately carved recycled and naturally occurring bone, its take a team of several artisans to create a single frame. One artisans is responsible for hand carving each piece of bone into delicate intricate shapes. A second person affixes those pieces into a wooden base in the pattern featured on the frame. The third and final master artisan fills the outline of the pattern with colored resin to create the background. The frame is then finally buffed, sanded and polished to bring forward the natural sheen on the bone. It takes a team of artisans 4-5 days to complete a single piece.
