Fully tempered glass is approximately four times stronger than annealed glass of the same thickness and configuration. Residual surface compression must be over 10,000 PSI for 6mm glass, according to ASTM C 1048
When broken, it will break into many relatively small fragments, which are less likely to cause serious injury. The typical process to produce tempered glass involves heating the glass to over 1,000 degrees F, then rapidly cooling to lock the glass surfaces in a state of compression and the core in a state of tension, as shown in the diagram
Tempered glass is often referred to as â??safety glass,â? because it meets the requirements of the various code organizations. This type of glass is intended for general glazing, and safety glazing such as sliding doors, storm doors, building entrances, bath and shower enclosures, interior partitions, and other uses requiring superior strength and safety properties.
About Clear Tempered Glass Clear tempered glass, also toughened glass, hardened glass, reinforced glass, ESG glass, impact resistant glass, is fabricated by heating clear float glass to over 600°C and cooling it rapidly, which locks the outer surfaces of the glass in a state of high compression, and the core or center of the glass in compensating tension. It is a safety glass which is used when strength, thermal resistance and safety are important considerations. Clear Tempered Glass Characteristic High Strength The tempered glass performs well in resisting bending and hitting owing to its high strength which is 3-5times that of normal float glass. It is able to withstand a surface pressure of 95Mpa. High Safety When the tempered glass is broken, it turns into alveolate granules with obtuse angles, which guarantee safety to make sure human harmless, and the toughening process greatly reduces the risk of thermal breakage to ensure less loss. Heat Stability The tempered glass is capable of withstanding a temperature change of 250 to 320 while normal annealed glass can only bear 20 to 100 Clear Tempered Glass Specification Available size: Maximum 3000*8000 mm, Minimum 150*300 mm, any customized size. Beveling edges, cutting notches, drilling holes, grinding corners, etc. all could be done, but must be done before tempering. Edge work Any edges could be done perfectly on clear toughened glass, like flat polished edge (T edge), pencil edge (C edge), beveled edge, ogee edge, matt edge, corner round edge. Holes and notches Tempered glass can be supplied with drilled holes (no matter straight or conical) and cut notches. We will consider hole and notch locations and size according to your drawings. Clear Tempered Glass Application â?¢ Used in interior like bathroom glass shelves, glass partition walls, etc. Used in exterior like window glass, greenhouse glass, etc. Used on furniture like table top glass, cabinet door glass, etc. Many Others.
JH acid etched glass is annealed glass treated with acid to give its surface a frosted look.Entire sheets of glass can be acid etched,or small sections can be treated to add specific designs. It make glass artistic ,beautiful and long lasting .Normal acid etched glass can be used to create doors, partitions, walls, shelves, and railings, special items can be used as ?¢??anti-glare glass?¢?? for picture frame , screen ,etc. Product items : single side acid etched glass / double side acid etched glass Thickness :2-19mm Size :2440x3660mm 2140x3300mm,1830x2440mm,1220x1830mm , cut sizes
The processing principle of heat strengthened glass is similar to that of tempered class. Its heating temperature is a little lower than that for tempered glass. Besides, its cooling speed is low just like that of tempered glass. The only difference between such glass and tempered glass is that its strength is lower than that of tempered glass, about twice that of common glass. However, like annealed glass, its pieces (when broken) are large in size. Thus, it can't be used as safety glass. The bending of heat strengthened glass is smaller than that of tempered glass and the thermo stability of heat strengthened glass is much better than that of annealed glass. As heat strengthened glass does not explode by itself, it is widely used in glass curtain walls, green Applications: houses, partitions and decoration industry. Specification: Thickness: 3~19mm; Max. size: 2440mm x 6000mm; Min. size: 150mm x 250mm.

JHG pattern glass is widely used in cabinets, windows and doors. and also we also can offer you finished products with cut, polished, tempered, laminated, acid etched. JHG pattern glass is a kind of decorative translucent glass with embossed patterns on one or both surfaces. Pattern glass is generally used where privacy or obscurity is desired but light transmission is still important. With the special property of decoration, patterned glass can allow light to pass through, at the same time, it can also prevent clear view. Usually it transmits only slightly less light than clear glass.JHG pattern glass is widely used in cabinets, windows and doors .and also we also can offer you finished products with cut , polished, tempered , laminated, acid etched .
