Rosa centifolia (lit. hundred leaved/petaled rose; syn. R. gallica var. centifolia (L.) Regel), the Provence rose or cabbage rose or Rose de Mai is a hybrid rose developed by Dutch rose breeders in the period between the 17th century and the 19th century, possibly earlier. Its parentage includes Rosa damascena, but it may be a complex hybrid; its exact hereditary history is not well documented or fully investigated, but it now appears that this is not the hundred-leaved(centifolia) rose mentioned by Theophrastus and Pliny: no unmistakable reference can be traced earlier than about 1580. The original plant was sterile, but a sport with single flowers appeared in 1769, from which various cultivars known as centifolia roses were developed, many of which are further hybrids. Other cultivars have appeared as further sports from these roses. Rosa centifolia Muscosa is a sport with a thick covering of resinous hairs on the flower buds, from which most (but not all) moss roses are derived. Dwarf or miniature sports have been known for almost as long as the larger forms, including a miniature moss ross Moss de Meauxâ??.

Rose petals are edible and a traditional ingredient in the foods in the middle east, especially in desserts. In addition to sprinkling rose water on desserts, it is sprinkled on guests as a sign of welcome before the meal. Rose petal jam and cordial are still popular in Europe. Rose hips are a rich source of vitamin c and can be made into a conserve or jam. The petals are then eaten as a candy or used to decorate desserts.
Roses are used for excess menstrual bleeding, digestive problems, gonorrhoea, and for liver symptoms. Delicious medicinal preparations can be made from rose petals, including syrup of roses, honey of roses, sugar of roses, rose water, and vinegar of roses. Rose petals have been used for conditions such as fevers, headache, jaundice, joint pain, fainting, weakness, trembling of the heart, poor digestion, and infection.

About Meltblown Nonwove
Melt blown is a one step process to make fabrics from polymer.
The thermoplastics chips are fed through main dosing units & these chips are melted by means of the extruder. This extruder then extrudes the melt, which is then filtered & metered at a constant rate. This filament comes out from a single raw of spinneret orifice. It has a self bonding property but for coagulation & for better random laying hot air flow is provided.
The web generated is immediately passes among the Spunbond webs followed by pre-bonding rolls & finally through calendar for thermal bonding.
The main purpose of melt blown fabric is to provide barrier property for the liquid.
Sometimes the treatment like antistatic or hydrophilic are given to the fabrics & after drying the fabrics are wound in the winder as a roll form.
Unique characteristics such as water repellence or permeability or UV stability can be obtained by incorporating additives to the raw materials or applying different agents to the fabric.
Characteristics of Meltblown fabrics are:
The main desired characteristics expected for melt blown nonwoven fabrics are:
Adjustable Pores And Capillary Structure
Excellent barrier properties
Filament size 1 -3 µm
High Elasticity
