Fiber optic Faraday rotator mirror is a fiber optic device that can serve as both the reference mirror and the probing mirror. The device functions as a phase conjugate mirror by creating a phase delay of 90 degrees. This feature allows the mirror and the return path of the beam to automatically compensate for any induced birefringence the beam experiences during the first of leg of the travel. Therefore, the Faraday rotator mirror is an important part of the fiber optic Michelson Interferometer. The Faraday rotator mirror has been used widely to compensate for induced phase changes in many other waveguide applications. Faraday Rotator Mirrors are available pigtailed with 1 m of standard Corning SMF-28e+ single mode fiber. The fiber is mounted in a standard �?900 µm tight tube buffer with proper strain relief, and an optional 2.0 mm narrow key FC/PC or FC/APC connector is available. The Faraday Rotation Mirror is built with ALL-glass technique sealed process, it performs wide working wavelength range so that fit for various wavelength , it can rotate the input signal polarization state for 90°or 180° after reflect back ,widely used in sensor system.
Polarization maintaining (PM) patch cord / jumper leads are built with polarization maintaining panda fiber and connectorise using FC/UPC, FC/APC, SC/UPC, SC/APC and LC connectors. FC connectors can be supplied with wide key (2.14mm, N type) or narrow key (2.02mm, R key) width. Patchcords can be supplied in 250um bare fiber, 900um buffered fiber or 3mm cable. PMP features low insertion loss, high extinction ratio and high return loss. The slow or fast axis can be aligned to the connector key.
