The Gamusa is a very traditional piece of woven cotton cloth in Assam (India). It has woven patterns on two sides and red stripes on the long borders.
It is used as a sign of respect, for decoration of the altar, but also as a towel after bath.

And here your creativity starts: use it to stitch cloth, table mats, cussion covers, wrap your presents inside, stitch small bags filled with lavender...
