The layout of the XDJ-RX2 has also changed in a way that brings it more in line with the Pro CDJ and XDJ units. The mixer section has also been rearranged to more accurately represent the layout of the DJM-900NX2 and other pro DJ mixers, and is very similar to the DJM-450. Any DJs using a pro Pioneer setup when playing out in the club and then using the XDJ-RX2 for practice at home won't have to think twice anymore when finding the features they want - everything will be second-nature.
Changes to the layout include:
Cue buttons are now placed above their respective channel and a master cue button has been added.
Master and booth levels are now at the top of the mixer section
The browse knob and buttons have been moved to the right-hand side of the touchscreen
The Browse/Tag List/Info/Menu buttons have been moved above the touchscreen
Hot new features you can expect from the XDJ-RX2 are:
A 7-inch full-colour touchscreen, in-line with the XDJ series
8 performance pads on each deck, in-line with the DDJ controller series - these can be used for tactile control of 8 Hot Cues, Beat Loop, Slip Loop and Beat Jump.
A parameter knob enabling you to control the sound colour effects
Track filter, short cut and QWERTY keyboard features can be used to search for tracks
