Crema Marfil is a calcareous stone extracted in the mining areas of West Alicante province and North of Murcia province (Spain). The material has a creamy background tone of colour, that can vary form light tone (scarce) to medium tone. Crema Marfil presents calcium veins of soft brown or orangish colour.
The classification (and also its capacity of being supplied and its price) depends on the homogeneity of the tone of colour, the amount of veins and the presence of mineral intrussions.
USE
Its suitable for indoor flooring and cladding. In outdoor areas only for cladding small zones (with maintenance) or in antique finish.
SIZES
Crema Marfil is produced in slabs 2 & 3 cm thick (big thicknesses are difficult to produce) for transformacion in stairs, cut to size pieces, bathroom sinks..., and tiles in standard sizes: 60x60x2 cm, 60x40x2 cm, 60x30x2 cm, 40x30x2 cm. In other shapes are the tiles 45,7x45,7x1,5 cm (18x18, 40x40x1,5 cm (16"x16"), 61x30,5x1 cm (24"x12") and 30,5x30,5x1 cm (12x12 , polished and bevelled.
