Bitumen a black viscous mixture of hydrocarbons obtained naturally or as a residue from petroleum distillation. It is used for road surfacing and roofing. Bitumen is a mixture of Organic Liquids that are highly Viscous, Black, Sticky, Entirely Soluble in Carbon Disulfide, and composed primarily of highly condensed Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons. Naturally occurring or crude bitumen is a sticky, tar-like form of petroleum which is so thick and heavy that it must be heated or diluted before it will flow. At room temperature, it is much like cold molasses. Refined Bitumen is the residual (bottom) fraction obtained by fractional distillation of crude oil. It is the heaviest fraction and the one with the highest boiling point, boiling at 525 C (977 F). Petroalliance are involved in import and the supply and trade of Bitumen Oil. This oil is a dark and viscous liquid which is sticky in texture. It is widely used in road construction, waterproofing, paints, enamels etc. It is available to clients in different types of settings at highly affordable prices. It is widely acclaimed amongst our client base for its supreme quality. Uses of Bitumens Bitumen is primarily used for construction and paving of roads. Its other uses are for Bituminous Waterproofing Products, including the use of bitumen in the production of roofing felt and for sealing flat roofs.
Bitumen penetration grade 60/70 is semi-hard penetration grade bitumen using as paving grade bitumen suitable for road construction and repair conjointly for the production of asphalt pavements with below technical specifications. This grade of bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot combine asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Bitumen 60/70 is the most used bitumen grade and basic material for all alternative bituminous products. Bitumen Penetration Grade 60/70 is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Penetration Grade Bitumen supplied by RAHA GROUP is petroleum grade bitumen, manufactured from fractional / vacuum distillation of crude oil. The Bitumen supplied by RAHA GROUP is produced from vacuum residue (short residue) feedstock. RAHA Penetration Grade bitumens are specified by the penetration and softening point test. The designation is by penetration range only. The penetration grade bitumens have a thermoplastic property which causes the material to soften at high temperatures and to harden at lower temperatures. This unique temperature/ viscosity relationship is important when determining the performance parameters such as the adhesion, rheology, durability and application temperatures of bitumen.
Penetration Bitumen 60/70 serves as a vital component in road construction projects. It is specifically engineered for optimal performance in such applications. It is imperative to adhere to the recommended usage guidelines and consult with the supplier before considering alternative applications. The properties and specifications of Bitumen 60/70 are rigorously tested to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Technical Data Sheet Bitumen 60/70 Paving Grade Bitumen Description Bitumen 60/70 has the highest-boiling point, heaviest and most polar fraction from the vacuum distillation of crude oil. Bitumen 60 70 is composed of asphaltene and maltene. The heavy insoluble asphaltene molecules give bitumen 60/70 its body and softening point while the maltenes are oily and make asphalt flexible. Asphalting molecules are soluble in aromatic solvents like toluene but insoluble in heptane. The maltenes are heptane-soluble molecules and less aromatic. Applications Bitumen 60/70 is a high-quality penetration grade bitumen used in road construction and other similar applications. Bitumen penetration grade 60/70 is semi hard penetration grade bitumen using as paving grade bitumen suitable for road construction and repair also for the production of asphalt pavements with below technical specification. This grade of bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Bitumen 60/70 is most used bitumen grade and basic material for all other bituminous products.
