- Vietnamese cinnamon sticks have a warm and intense aroma and a sweet flavor with some heat. They are best used in long simmering dishes, sweet or savory. Add to a batch of mulled cider or wine, flavor braising liquids along with star anise, or spice fruit before baking pies.
