A bucket elevator is a fixed mechanical conveying equipment mainly suitable for continuous vertical lifting of powdered, granular, and small materials. It can be widely used for lifting loose materials in various scale feed factories, flour mills, rice mills, oil mills, starch factories, grain depots, port terminals, etc.
The bucket elevator is used to vertically lift block and granular materials such as limestone, coal, gypsum, clinker, dry clay, as well as powdered materials such as raw materials, cement, and coal powder that pass through the crusher. According to the different operating speeds of the hopper, bucket elevators can be divided into three forms: centrifugal discharge, gravity discharge, and mixed discharge.
The centrifugal unloading hopper has a fast speed and is suitable for conveying materials with small grinding properties such as powder, granular, and small pieces;
Gravity discharge has a slower bucket speed and is suitable for conveying bulk, high density, and high grindability materials, such as limestone and clinker.
The traction components of a bucket elevator include ring chains, plate chains, and tape. The structure and manufacturing of the ring chain are relatively simple, and the connection with the hopper is also very strong. When conveying materials with high grinding properties, the wear of the chain is relatively small, but its own weight is relatively large. The plate chain structure is relatively sturdy and lightweight, suitable for elevators with large lifting capacity. However, the hinge joint is prone to wear and tear, and the structure of the tape is relatively simple, but it is not suitable for conveying materials with high grinding properties. The temperature of ordinary tape materials does not exceed 60 , steel rope tape allows material temperature to reach 80 and the temperature of materials transported by ring chain and plate chain can reach 250 â??.
Application:
This series of bucket elevators is suitable for conveying powdery, granular, and small pieces of non abrasive and low abrasive materials, such as coal, cement, stones, sand, clay, ore, etc. Due to the traction mechanism of the elevator being a circular chain, it allows for the transportation of materials with higher temperatures (material temperature not exceeding 250 ). The general conveying height can reach up to 40 meters.

Since they don't depend entirely on the centrifugal force to put the material into the chute, the speed may be relatively lower.
