The Cornell Type Tester test the long-term capacity of bedding to resist cyclic loading. In detail, it is created to measure two critical elements of a mattress, firmness retention and surface deformation, at various cycle points from 0 to 100,000 cycles in efforts to simulate mattress performance after approximately 10 years of use.
This test simulating the repeated application of loads and/or movement of components occurring during long-term use and assessing the strength of the mattress under such conditions and mainly intended to evaluate the change of the properties of the mattress caused by repeated loadings.
