Illex argentinus belongs to Cephalopoda, squid family. It is mainly distributed in the continental shelf and continental slope of the southwest Atlantic Ocean. Ommastrephe bartrami belongs to Cephalopoda, dibranchia, lanceolata, open eye, squid family, squid subfamily, squid genus, for the characteristic species.
