"I had a couple of these Cable 15 Pin SATA to 4 SATA Power Splitter Cable - 18 Inches in my new build but then I realized it was near impossible to use them to plug in four 2.5" SSD drives on top of one another in a drive cage. I bought these and used two of them to connect the four drives. It was much easier to connect things that way. Although I would have preferred if all of the cables on these splitters were black instead. They did the job at a not-horrible price."



"Only issue is they are multi-color, and in today's world where machines have glass panels they look ugly, but they do work great."

ANSWER: It basically juts out no deeper than the thickness of a straight connector. The advantage is that the cable from the connector protrudes from the connector at a right angle to the drive and not straight out from the drive. I had very little room in my case between the drive and the case door where a straight connector would not work. This connector worked like a charm with absolutely no problems.
