1. The plant was built in 1991 through a joint-venture of the US-based NutraSweet and the Japanese-based Ajinomoto, both active in sweeteners and other food ingredients. From 2000 to 2015, Ajinomoto had full ownership over the plant.
2. In 2015, the plant was acquired by HYET Sweet, a Dutch-based company trading in sweeteners.
3. In January 2019, the plant was taken over by Standard Investment, a European investment firm specialized in manufacturing and food companies. The French plant makes the same products as before at the same high-quality levels just under a new legal name and new ownership and now is known as HSWT Aspartame â?? France.
