Product Introduction: Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), with the chemical formula (C10H8O4) n, is synthesized by exchanging dimethyl terephthalate with ethylene glycol ester or esterification of terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol, followed by condensation reaction to obtain dihydroxyethyl terephthalate. Belonging to crystalline saturated polyester, it is a milky white or light yellow, highly crystalline polymer with a smooth and glossy surface. It is a common resin in daily life and can be divided into APET, RPET, and PETG. It has excellent physical and mechanical properties over a wide temperature range, with a usage temperature of up to 120. Its electrical insulation is excellent, and even at high temperatures and frequencies, its electrical performance is still good. However, it has poor corona resistance, creep resistance, fatigue resistance, friction resistance, and dimensional stability. Product advantages: 1. It has good mechanical properties, with an impact strength 3-5 times that of other films, and good bending resistance. 2. Oil resistant, fat resistant, acid and alkali resistant, and resistant to most solvents. 3. It can be used for a long time in the temperature range of 55-60, and can withstand high temperatures of 65 and low temperatures of -70 for short-term use. Moreover, its mechanical properties are minimally affected by high and low temperatures. 4. Gas and water vapor have low permeability and excellent resistance to gas, water, oil, and odor. 5. High transparency, can block ultraviolet rays, and has good gloss. 6. It is non-toxic, odorless, and has good hygiene and safety, and can be directly used for food packaging. Product application: The main applications in the field of electronic appliances include: electrical sockets, electronic connectors, rice cooker handles, TV yokes, terminal blocks, circuit breaker casings, switches, motor fan casings, instrument mechanical parts, cash counting machine parts, electric irons, and accessories for electromagnetic stoves and ovens; Flow control valves, carburetor covers, window controllers, foot transmissions, and distribution panel covers in the automotive industry; Machinery industry gears, blades, pulley, pump parts, wheelchair body and wheels, lampshade shell, illuminator shell, drain pipe connector, zipper, clock parts, spray parts. It can be spun into polyester fiber, also known as polyester. Can be made into thin films for use as substrates, insulation films, product packaging, etc. for recording, recording, and film production. As plastic, it can be blown into various bottles, such as cola bottles, mineral water bottles, etc. Can be used as electrical components, bearings, gears, etc.

Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) is a key organic compound formed through the reaction of paraxylene (PX), a secondary petroleum product, with acetic acid. PTA is primarily used in the production of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), a widely utilized polyester. During polymerization, PTA is combined with other chemicals to produce PET, which appears as a white crystalline powder. Key Characteristics: Safety: PTA is considered to be non-toxic and is classified as flammable, with the potential to ignite in the presence of sufficient air. Applications: As a crucial organic raw material, PTA finds extensive use in various industries, including: Chemical Fiber Industry: Essential for producing synthetic fibers. Light Industry: Used in a variety of consumer products. Electronics Industry: Integral in the manufacturing of electronic components. Construction Industry: Utilized in various construction materials and applications.
PTA is one of the important bulk organic raw materials, widely used in chemical fiber, light industry, electronics, construction and other aspects of the national economy. At the same time, the application of PTA is more concentrated. More than 90% of PTA in the world is used to produce polyethylene terephthalate (PET). It needs 0.85-0.86 tons of PTA and 0.33-0.34 tons of MEG to produce 1 ton of pet. Polyester includes fiber chip, polyester fiber, bottle chip and film chip. In the domestic market, 75% of PTA is used in the production of polyester fiber; 20% is used in the production of bottle grade polyester, mainly used in the packaging of various drinks, especially carbonated drinks; 5% is used in film grade polyester, mainly used in packaging materials, films and tapes. It can be seen that the downstream extension product of PTA is mainly polyester fiber. Application: PTA is mostly used in the production of polyethylene terephthalate (polyester). It is an important raw material for polyester fibers, films, plastic products, insulating paints and plasticizers. It is also used in dyes and other products' production.
Paraxylene (PX) is an important aromatic hydrocarbon with various industrial applications, primarily in the production of purified terephthalic acid (PTA), which is a key precursor for polyester fibers and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Here are some of its notable properties and uses: Properties of Paraxylene: Melting Point: 12-13 C Boiling Point: 138 C Density: 0.861 g/mL at 20 C Vapor Density: 3.7 (compared to air) Vapor Pressure: 9 mm Hg at 20 C Refractive Index: n20/D 1.495 Flash Point: 77 F Storage Temperature: Recommended at +5C to +30C Solubility: Slightly soluble in water (0.2 g/L) Appearance: Colorless liquid pKa: >15. Applications: PTA Production: Approximately 65% of PTA produced is used to manufacture polyester fibers, which are widely used in clothing and textiles. PET Bottles: About 30% of PTA is converted into PET, commonly used for beverage bottles and packaging. Plastic Products: The remaining 5% is utilized in various plastic products, including films and food containers
