Introduction for Ozone Application and Function Ozone, an allotrope of oxygen, is an unstable gas with fishy smell. The standard electrode potential of ozone is higher than oxygen, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, potassium permanganate and other oxidant, so its oxidizability is the strongest among common oxidant.
