The naturally white feathers are from the mature male ostrich and take a dye very well. These are washed and dried by the ostrich farmer. They are clipped from the bird with no harm. The large wing plumes generally range between 16 -28 inches long with herl (fibers) width that can exceed 12 inches across. Different width with different price. Our 1st quality ostrich wing plumes are all adult ostriches, not young birds.

This is also a very hardy sheep and can operate under any conditions. Deliver a very good carcass at 3 months 15-18kg. The Van Rooy is the best sheep for crossbreeding for meat purposes.
