Planting Media for Hydroponoc Cocopeat Packaging per 50 kilogram Cocopeat is a hydroponic planting medium which includes organic media because it is made from natural ingredients, namely coconut husk or shell. Cocopeat is also one of the Coconut coir products (planting media derived from coconut) which is popular in Indonesia in addition to other types of coconut coir such as coco fiber and coco chips. The shape and texture of cocopeat is more like sawdust and softer than other coconut coir media. Cocopeat is made from coconut shell which is processed in such a way that it is ready to be used to grow plants hydroponically. The advantages of Cocopeat: - The texture is similar to soil - The advantages of cocopeat which can absorb water well - Environmentally friendly - More pest resistant.
Description 100% clean cocopeats used for vegetable nursery as well as for leaves-consumed green vegetables. Cocopeats are final raw materials of coconut husks in our production line after sieving to take out long fibers or short fibers. Specification Fiber length: Less than 2cm Impurities/Sand: 3% Max Weight: 5kg (+/- 3%) Moisture: 15-20% or 25 - 40% E.C: Low EC (For Plant Growth) < 0.5-0.8 ms/cm PH: 5.5 to 6.8
Cocopeat is a co-product of coconut fiber extraction process. It is a non-fibrous, spongy, lightweight and corky material that holds together the coir fiber in coconut husk. Depending on the electrical conductivity, our cocopeat is available in High EC and Low EC. High EC Cocopeat (unwashed) is commonly used in animal bedding farms due to its superior ability to absorb moisture and soft-bed cushioning properties. Our high EC cocopeat is free from fine dust particles and easy to lay and remove. It is also sterilized to prevent molds, pathogens and bad odor due to long term use. High EC Cocopeat has a relatively high salt content and hence it is not suitable to be used as growing mediums. Low EC Cocopeat (washed) is highly considered an ideal, multi-purpose growing medium in horticulture and floriculture due to its natural rooting hormones, antifungal properties and low salt content. It is an excellent alternative to traditional peat moss and rock wool not only because it is very easy to use and inherits all the characteristics of high quality growing mediums that can be used in a wide range of plants, but also 100% organic, renewable and produced without causing any environmental damage. Our low EC cocopeat is first sieved, washed, dried and finally compressed into blocks. Once expanded, one kilogram of compressed cocopeat is equivalent to 15 liters of moist cocopeat.
Cocopeat is a multi purpose growing medium made out of coconut husk. The fibrous coconut husk is pre washed, machine dried, sieved and made free from sand and other contaminations such as animal and plant residue. Cocopeat is a very good alternative to traditional peat moss and Rock wool. Its air filled porosity and high water holding capacity makes it, an ideal growing medium for the plant crops. It is 100% organic and eco friendly, free from soil borne pathogen and weed. It has a pH of 5.7 -6.5 ,EC level

ADVANTAGES OF COCOPEAT Eco-friendly and Sustainable growing medium High moisture retention capacity High cation exchange capacity Improves soil aeration Improves soil buffering capacity Mostly tolerant to pH variations Can buffer water soluble nutrients COCOPEAT MANUFACTURING PROCESS 1. Coconut Husk Processing : Coconut husks are processed at our Coconut Fibre Mills to extract coir fibre, leaving behind the by-product a spongy material that binds the coconut fibre in the husk â?? the coco coir or the coco peat, the main raw material for the Coco Coir based Growing Medium. 2. Washing of Raw Cocopeat : Coir Pith is washed with fresh water to lower the electrical conductivity which is a measure of the salt content, so that plants roots can absorb water efficiently and effectively. 3. Drying of Washed Cocopeat : Wet Coir pith is then sun-dried in concrete yards to reduce the moisture content to the right value to achieve the required compaction. 4. Sorting : Dried Coir Pith are sorted based on their electrical conductivity and moisture level. 5. Sifting & Sieving : Sorted Coir Pith is sifted and sieved to remove the fine dust particles and extract the right sized grains as per the growing medium specification. 6. Compaction of Cocopeat : Substrate mixture is compacted in hydraulic presses to the required size as per clientâ??s requirement. 7. Pack & Dispatch : Packed as per the specifications (shrink wrapped with / without label or packed in cartons) and are then moved to our stock warehouse for palletising and shipment.
Coconut Peat or Coco peat is an eco-friendly option that includes the fibrous material of coconut or coco coir. It is a natural by-product of coconut farming. Coco peat will increase the porosity of the potting blend. This facilitates to preserve the soil free and ethereal assisting in higher root boom. Better root boom outcomes in higher plant boom and better yield. Coco peat will increase the water maintaining ability of the potting blend even because it will increase the porosity of the soil.
