The suspension clamps are made of galvanized steel and aluminum alloys that help resist corrosion caused by varying weather conditions in the environment. The resistance provided helps increase the durability of overhead line suspension clamps, which in turn helps reduce repair and maintenance costs. They are used along with other equipment such as bolts, nuts and washers to help secure connections on overhead lines. This helps to limit loose connections that can lead to electrocution. Suspension Clamp Component Parts The Suspension Clamp is not a single entity as it has a number of major components that make up the connection to the conductor. They are described below.
