1. PRODUCT OVERVIEW

VHM expansion joint made by VinhHung Investment and Production Co., Ltd (VinhHung IP) are composed of multiple steel rails in combination with support beam and special structures. VHM - modular expansion joints accommodate to longitudinal movement from160mm upwards. The expansion joints are connected to the bridge deck through the anchoring reinforced system. Rubber seal serve as the drainage trough and prevent the system from dust and debris.



2.PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

Design and manufacture according to AASHTO â?? LRFD, TCVN 11823 â?? 2017 standards.
Allow the longitudinal displacement of up to 720mm, the vertical and horizontal displacement satisfy AASHTO standards.
Be able to withstand with high loads with stable and durable structure.
Provide the smooth-riding surface while absorbing the impact of heavy traffic.
Each center beam is fixed with an independent supporting bar, which satisfies the requirement of the fatigue threshold C (AASHTO 2007).
Be protected with high anti-corrosive coating layer and treated with anti-skid coating technology.
Be totally watertight.

VHFC and VHFO are synchronously manufactured with high accuracy finger plates and accessories like bolts, rubber sheets-water prevention steel plates that bring profitability to new construction as well as inspection and maintenance work in service.

VHFC and VHFO accommodate the medium movement to big movement and can be used for both straight and skew bridges.

Totally accommodate the medium and large longitudinal movements, and also vertical and transverse movement if any...
Simple installation, maintenance and replacement, which allows to replace the individual finger plates in short period of time and for each lane.
High loading resistance capacity, especially the
impact load.
Also available for skew bridges.
Rubber seal system is designed to be totally water-tight and prevent dust and debris.
Can be designed to compatible with different thicknesses of bridge decks.
To ensure the long-lasting durability, VHF finger expansion joints are protected from corrosion with methods like: paint with 2-component epoxy coating, PU-based painting (Polyurethane).., zinc coating according to ASTM A123, and especially Al-Mg coating (Al 5% and Mg 95% ratio) which ensures the durability of 100 years. This method is proved by the brine spraying test in 6000 hours (dry-wet 8hour cycles) according to ASTM B117 standards.

VHR joints made by VinhHung Investment and Production Co., Ltd (Vinh Hung IP) is the steel strip-seal joint comprising of two steel rails with anchor bars connected to embedded bars in the pier cap of the headwall of the abutment, elastomeric strip serves as the trough for drainage and debris, nosing materials: non-shrinkage mortar or concrete with minimum compressive strength of 40MPa.
There are 2 main types of VHR expansion joints identified by the cross-section of the steel rails: VHR-C steel rail expansion joint and VHR-F steel rail expansion joint.
