Camphor powder synthetic Camphor is said to have been first used as a drug in the arabian peninsula around ad 600, and, eventually came to be used as a sacred panacea in greece and egypt. In those days, camphor was obtained only from camphor wood (this product is known as natural camphor). In the 1920's, however, a mass-production synthesis method was developed in which camphor is obtained from rosin-derived turpentine oil. Currently, virtually all camphor is produced by this synthesis process. Synthetic camphor Turpentine oil originating from rosin is synthesized and processed into camphor. Natural camphor Camphor wood is subjected to a steam distillation process to obtain camphor. Typical applications of camphor according to properties 1. Chemical properties : celluloid 2. Sublimation: insect repellent 3. Tackiness: binder of metal powder sintering 4. Pharmacodinamic effect: plaster, cardiotonic 5. Other properties: raw material for perfume, fragrant pouch
Commodity: Synthetic Cryolite Formula: Na3AlF6 M.W.: 209.95 Properties: The product is a white crystalline powder or a sandy-size granularity, and a pinkish crystalline powder or a sandy-size granularity as well. Sp.gr.2.953.01g/cm3, melting point about 1000centigrade, specific heat 1.056j/gcentigradeat 18100centigrade. Its slightly soluble in water, but insoluble in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride. The content of its crystal water will be decreased while the increasing of the molecular ratio, therefore its loss on ignition will be also decreased while the increasing of the molecular ratio. After the paste of synthetic cryolite with different molecular ratio dehydrates, the loss on ignition at 800centigrade will appear 10.34%, 6.22% and 2.56% when the molecular ratio reaches 1.74, 2.14 and 2.63 reactively. Shelf Life 24 Months What is sodium sulphate? Sodium sulfate, also known as sulfate of soda, is the inorganic compound with formula Na2SO4 as well as several related hydrates. All forms are white solids that are highly soluble in water. With an annual production of 6 million tonnes, the decahydrate is a major commodity chemical product. It is mainly used for the manufacture of detergents and in the kraft process of paper pulping. Function of sodium sulphate Used as materials for synthetic detergent, glass, papermaking, inorganic salts, dyestuff, alcohol fibre, tanning, metal smelting, surface treatment and filler industries etc. Application of sodium sulphate Sodium sulfate Anhydrous is consumed in four major categories; powder detergents as a processing aid and as a filler, wood pulp processing for making kraft paper, textile dyeing processes as a levelling agent to penetrate evenly, and molten glass process to remove small air bubbles. In addition,it is usually used for sodium sulfide , sodium silicate and other chemical products ,synthetic fibers, leather, nonferrous ,metallurgy, enamel and soap etc
