Levigated China Clay

We were the first to start a china clay processing plant in Bhuj-Kutch, Gujarat, by acquiring 100 hectares of land on lease from the government in 1983. Back in 2018, a fully automated kaolin plant was established, featuring High Gradient Magnetic Separation (HGMS) and an automatic filter press that can handle up to 8000 tons every month. In 2020, all plants were revamped to include a ball mill, centrifuge decanter, hydro cyclone, and filter press, which helped us achieve a capacity of 25000 tons per month.

China Clay is a naturally hydrated Aluminum Silicate. It is one of the most abundantly available clay in the Earth's crust. Pure grade of China clay or kaolin clay produced by the processes of levigating. China Clay is also called KAOLIN, it is one of the essential Raw materials for Ceramic Industries, China Clay does not swell on adding water & Alumina present in Clay do not form Isomorphism series with any other metallic compound. China Clay: China Clay is a clay mineral with the chemical composition AlSiO3O5(OH)3. It is layered silicate mineral. It is soft earthy, usually white in color, produced by the chemical weathering of Aluminium Silicate mineral like Feldspar. Commercial grades of China Clay are supplied and transported as dry powder form, semi dry noodle form or as slurry. Applications: - It is used in Cer/bamics for body & glazing of Tiles and Sanitary Wares. - In paper it is used as filler. It is also used for paper coating purpose. - It is used in paint also to extend Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) and modify gloss level. - It is used in rubber to enhance reinforcement properties.

China clay is characterized by its fine particle size, high brightness and rheology. We develop fine and ultra fine grades of Hydrous Kaolin from our best reserves, for various industries including Paint, Paper, Printing Inks, Paper board, Rubber etc. China clay is a natural mineral found in partly decompo-sed granite, an igneous feldsparic rock. Chemically, kaolin is a hydrated aluminium silicate containing Al2O3.2SiO2.2H2O. Kaolin was first discovered in the mountainous province of Kiangsi, China in A.D. 500. The word kaolin derives from the Chinese character kaolin which means high ridge. It was first used by the Chinese to make high quality porcelain.
