Octanol is mainly used in the manufacture of phthalate esters and aliphatic dibasic ester plasticizers such as dioctyl phthalate, dioctyl sebacate and dioctyl sebacate, etc. Plastic primary plasticizers and cold-resistant plasticizers, defoamers, dispersants, mineralizers, and petroleum fillers are also used in printing, dyeing, and filming.
