The peanut, also known as the groundnut, goober, pindar or monkey nut, is a legume crop grown mainly for its edible seeds. Indiaâ??s main oilseed is bold peanuts. Peanuts of the bold variety have reddish-brown skin and an oblong shape. Bold-type Peanut Kernels are thicker and larger than Java-type Peanut Kernels.
