SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound) water tanks are made of a composite material consisting of thermosetting resin, glass fibers, and mineral fillers. The material is molded into panels and then assembled to form a water tank of the desired size and shape. SMC water tanks are durable, lightweight, and resistant to corrosion, making them ideal for outdoor and indoor applications, such as residential, commercial, and industrial water storage.
GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) water tanks are also made of composite material, but they use a different manufacturing process. GRP tanks are made of layers of fiberglass reinforced with resin and formed into a seamless, one-piece vessel. Like SMC tanks, GRP tanks are lightweight and durable, and they are also resistant to corrosion and UV radiation. They are commonly used for industrial applications, as well as for residential and commercial water storage.

Cleanliness and saniation
SMC Water Tanks satisfy relevant Food Sanitation standards. Since exterior light is completely blocked, bacteria generation and germ growths are prevented. In particular, when large panels are employed, existing water tank interior structures are eliminated, allowing long-term sanitary use of water tanks.
Excellent durability
The interior structural components of a water tank consist of Storage Tank System (STS) and Base Layer (STS PE coating and Winding Pipes) that prevent corrosion or rusting.
The external components are Melt Zinc plated, thus having semi-permanent useful life.
Complete water tightness
Special sealants with international patents are used to guarantee water tightness.
1000 liter / 275 gallon repurposed rain tank. These are used & new tanks, food-grade tanks are comprised of a galvanized metal frame with a pallet (metal, plastic, or wood) and a plastic HDPE bottle. The rain tank has a 6, 8, or 12-inch top-fill cap and a 2-inch bottom butterfly or ball valve. The tanks may or may not include a plastic cap with a buttress or NPT thread for the bottom valve. If a valve cap is included, it can be drilled to accept our garden hose spigot assembly. A spigot assembly and 7/8 inch hole saw are not included. The dimensions are approximately 39 inches wide across the bottom valve, 47 inches deep, and 48 inches tall and the tanks weigh approximately 75 lbs empty. Previous contents may include olive oil, fish oil, organic fertilizer or beverage concentrates and some residue may still remain inside. The residue, if any, will only enrich the soil.
Conventional tanks (concrete or mild steel) are prone to aging, wear and corrosion.
Concrete can crack when exposed to erosion and natural disasters, leading to water
contamination and leakage â?? and usually canâ??t be repaired. MS rusts easily and its also
easy heat conductor.
