Rosehip seed oil is obtained from the seeds of the Rosehip fruit, which grows wildly in non-cultivated areas in the South of Chile.

The oil is an emollient of low viscosity obtained by solvent extraction, submitted to a careful refining process, winterized, deodorized and packed under nitrogen conditions.

The oil contains a high amount of unsaturated fatty acid (80%), namely linoleic and linolenic acid. This high amount of EFAS (Essential Fatty Acids) is beneficial to maintain the good health of the skin, to reduce wrinkles and the signs of premature aging.

EFAS are indeed necessary and important to build cell membranes and to regulate the levels of prostaglandin in the body system.

Therefore, rosehip oil is an important ingredient for the cosmetic industry, used as a crucial component for facial creams, body lotion, and treatments for dry and cracked skin, burns, scars, eczema and many more.
