The Jawa Standard sits above the Forty Two in the model hierarchy. It shares its mechanicals with the Jawa Forty Two, but its design harks back to the model that won over the hearts of the Indian customers in its last innings in India. The Jawa Standard is powered by a 293cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine that generates 27bhp and 28Nm. It has a six-speed gearbox. It runs on conventional telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. There is a 280mm disc brake at the front, with a 153mm drum for the rear. Single-channel ABS is standard. Instrumentation consists of a single integrated analog unit that shows speed and fuel, besides an odometer. As befits a neo-retro motorcycle, there is a lot of chrome and the flowing lines are reminiscent of the original Ideal Jawa that was sold in India.
