Bamboo textile is cloth, yarn, or clothing that is made from bamboo fibers. While historically used only for structural elements, such as bustles and the ribs of corsets, in recent years, different technologies have been developed that allow bamboo fiber to be used for a wide range of textile and fashion applications. Bamboo yarn can also be blended with other textile fibers such as hemp or spandex. Bamboo is an alternative to plastic, which is renewable and can be replenished at a fast rate. Bamboo fibers are all cellulose fiber extracted or fabricated from natural bamboo, but they vary widely. Textiles labeled as being made from bamboo are usually not made by mechanical crushing and retting. They are generally synthetic rayon made from cellulose extracted from bamboo. Bamboo is used whole and in strips; these strips may be considered stiff fibers. Antibacterial - keeps you odor free and feeling and smelling fresh. Highly sweat absorbent (Pulls moisture from skin for evaporation - moisture wicking) - keeps you dry. Powerfully insulating - keeps you cooler in summer and warmer in winter. One of the softest fabrics on the planet you'll love the way it feels. Experiments carried out on the strength properties to include tensile, compressive, bending, stiffness, elasticity, hardness, and durability of bamboo to resist different forces or loads on structural members. Results showed that the strength properties of bamboo are higher than most of the soft and hardwoods
