Propylene glycol is Colorless, viscous, stable absorbent liquid, practically odorless and tasteless. It can be miscible with water and lots of organic solvents like ethyl alcohol.
Application:
In pharmaceutical industry: as carrier, granular pharmaceutical agent.
In Cosmetic industry:  as  moisture preserving agent , softener, solvent.
In Tocbaco industry: as flavor, moisture preserving agent , preservative agent.
In Food industry: as flavor, tack reducing agent, solvent for edible pigment.
It also widely usded in resin, plasticizer, surfactant, emulsifiler, antifreeze and so on.
