Flatboat specially transports dry bulk cargo and is suitable for transporting bulk grains, building stones, ore sand, coal, etc. The boat is not installed with hoisting equipment but completes loading and unloading of cargo by the hoisting equipment or loading and unloading machinery on the dock. Generally a flatboat has one cargo space only.
