Hyaluronate gel filler is a glycosaminoglycan disaccharide composed of alternately repeating units of d-glucuronic acid and n-acetyl-d-glucosamine. It is naturally occurring in the extracellular matrix found in many human tissues, including skin, synovial fluid of joints, vitreous fluid of the eye, and scaffolding within cartilage.
