Hard coke (ham coke) is formed by heating of coking / semi coking coal in absence of air, which form a coherent bead of strong and porous mass, free of volatiles. Hard coke is a fuel with few impurities and a high carbon content. It is the solid carbonaceous material derived from destructive distillation of low-ash, low-sulphur bituminous coal. Cokes from coal are grey, hard and porous. It is mainly used as a fuel in metallurgical industries, domestic applications and chemical industries. Besides of fuel, it is also used for its carbon considerations by various industries. Loose as truck load
