Polyacetal also called acetal or POM, is a popular crystalline engineering thermoplastic. It is specified for high load mechanical applications and precision parts, where strength, stiffness, stability and reliability are important. It has a continuous use temperature range of up to 180�°F (82�°C) or impact at low temperatures (down to -40�°C). It can also be processed by injection molding and extrusion methods.
