Wheat is a genus of herbaceous, mostly annual, plants of the Cereal family, or Bluegrass (Poaceae), the leading grain crop in many countries. Flour obtained from grains of wheat is used in baking bread, making pasta and confectionery. Wheat is also used as a fodder crop and is included in some recipes for making beer and vodka, as well as whiskey.
