Turpentine is a fluid obtained by distilation of crude gum (oleo pine resin) most of them are from Pinus merkusii. It is a kind of natural essential oil, mixture of various terpenoid and hydrocarbon. Turpentine is a composed of terpenes, primarily the mono-terpenes alpha and beta pinene, with lesser amount of carene, camphene, dipentene and terpinolene.
