Soybean meal is a by-product of soybean oil extraction. Several processes exist, producing different products. Soybean meal is usually classified for marketing based on its crude protein content. High protein types are obtained from peeled seeds and contain 47-49% protein and 3% crude fiber (as the basis of feed). Other types of soybean meal include the stomach or part of the stomach and contain less than 47% protein and more than 6% crude fiber. In solvent extracted soybean meal, the oil content is usually lower than 2% while exceeding 3% in mechanically extracted food. Spesification :
