Our potatoes have 2 types of potatoes, namely Crispy & Granola Potato. Granola potatoes are potatoes with low starch content (16% - 18%) and high water content (80%). The shape is oval with yellow tubers and the size is not too large. The skin of the granola potatoes is smoother, with deep, visible 'eyes' or potato spots. Because of the watery texture, these potatoes are suitable for processing into boiled potatoes, soups, goulash, and cakes. Furthermore, there are crispy potatoes which have a rougher surface and less water content than granola potatoes. Therefore, this type of potato is more often processed by frying or baking to maintain the water content in it. There are several choices of processed foods that are suitable for this type of potato, such as french fries or baked potato snacks.
